We couldn’t ignore that. We wouldn’t. That’s when CEDP Trust was born
Founded in 2013, the CEDP Trust came from a place of deep compassion and commitment—a promise that no dream would be denied because of money. Since then, we’ve skilled 850 students who, despite their financial hardships, now walk the path of opportunity. These students sit in the same classrooms as those who can afford the fees, receiving the same education, the same future. Because for us, education is about more than just learning—it’s about leveling the playing field, about dignity, about ensuring every student feels seen, valued, and deserving of success. At CEDP Trust, we believe in providing equal opportunities to all, ensuring that every student, regardless of their financial background, has the chance to thrive and reach their full potential, with dignity at the forefront of our mission.
Shaheen Khan, the heart and soul behind CEDP, built the Trust with a purpose far greater than herself. Inspired by Sadaqah Jariyah - an act of charity that continues to benefit others long after we’re gone—Shaheen believes in giving that keeps on giving. Education, she knew, would outlive her, changing lives for generations. Her mission has always been about building the nation she loves—one skilled person at a time, one job at a time. Because when you create a job, you uplift not just one person, but entire families and communities.
Her vision was never just about improving her own life; it was about touching as many lives as possible, and transforming them for the better. This is why CEDP Trust reaches out to those who are often left behind—the poor, the forgotten, the ones who society too often overlooks. We invite others to join us in this mission—to become a part of something bigger than themselves and to help lift people out of poverty, both in rural and urban areas.
We believe that every child, no matter where they’re born or what challenges they face, carries within them the same limitless potential. It shouldn’t matter whether they were born into wealth or hardship—their dreams matter. And we believe in those dreams.

India faces a critical challenge—millions of young people entering the job market, but without the skills they need to succeed. It’s not just about unemployment rates or statistics—it’s about real people, real lives, and real futures at stake. Nearly 70% of our workforce lacks formal skill training, leaving too many dreams unfulfilled.
That’s where we come in.
CEDP Trust doesn’t just offer training. We offer hope. Through scholarships, skill programs, and certifications, we open doors to a future that many thought was out of reach. We focus on empowering women, supporting low-income families, and giving marginalized communities the opportunities they deserve.
Our goal is ambitious but necessary - to train 20,000 young people every year. Because we know that every job we help create is more than just employment—it’s a lifeline, a stepping stone toward a better future.
